Adinel Dincă is a lecturer in medieval history at the Babeș-Bolyai University, Cluj, and a researcher at the ‘George Bariţiu’ Institute of History (Romanian Academy, Cluj). He wrote a PhD on the history of the Catholic diocese of Transylvania between the eleventh and the fourteenth centurie (Cluj and Tübingen, 2008). He teaches palaeography, codicology and diplomatics, and has published extensively on the history of the book in medieval Transylvania. He was a co-editor/co-author of Documenta Romaniae Historica, C. Transilvania.
